Directions From I-40 at Jackson, Tennessee, exit onto Highway 45 south, drive to Corinth (50 miles), and exit onto Highway 72 (the Memphis exit) east. Follow signs off Route 72 in Corinth.
 
 
 
Site Description
On April 13, 1866, the secretary of war authorized immediate action to provide a final resting place for the honored dead killed in Civil War battles for control of the railroad in and around Corinth. This beautiful twenty-acre cemetery is the resting place for 1,793 known and 3,895 unknown Union soldiers.
