Site Description
Here at the Ox Ford portion of the North Anna battlefield, Confederates turned back the Union attacks of May 24-25, 1864. A 2.4-mile walking trail features interpretive signs that detail the vents of the battle. Trench works and rifle pits from the battle are located on the seventy-five-acre property and are considered some of the most pristine examples of earthworks in existence. Interpretive brochures are available by contacting the site.
